WHAT IS EMBOSSING and DEBOSSING?
Embossing is applied to offset printing and uses a special die to make a raised impression that you can see and feel. An embossed letter or graphic looks like it’s raised from the paper whereas a debossed letter or graphic looks like it’s concave or pressed in. It’s important to remember that both affect both sides of the paper. Whatever impression is on one side will show through to the other side of the paper. This process is very precise on offset printers and can also be combined with with 4-color process printing or foil stamping to make the 3-D effect really pop.
